Document readability assessment

Documents intended for reading by the general public should be easily readable and understandable.

The well respected ATOS on-line tool to assess the readability of documents can be found at this Website

Any document which has an ATOS score level of 10 will require readers to have a high level of reading ability and/or education. Accordingly such documents might benefit from simplification.

(PDF files will need to converted to text before analysis. Adobe PDF reader can be used to save documents in a plain text format.)
